Mansfield Driving Academy serves the driver's education needs of students in the greater Mansfield area.  Our convenient location allows us to serve driving students from Tarrant, Johnson, Ellis, and surrounding counties throughout North Texas.    Most of our driving instructors are certified Texas teachers with their driver's education endorsement.  We offer over 60 years of combined driver's education experience.    The Mansfield Driving Academy offers the full Driver's Education Course as required by the State of Texas, which includes:
        *32 Hours of classroom instruction.        
        *14 hours "in car" driving and observation.        
Throughout the process of the driver's education course:
        *The student learns from the state approved curriculum.
        *The student will prepare for and take their permit test.
        *The student concludes the in car phase by taking a driving test.

Driver Education

Mansfield Driving Academy is a full service driver education school licensed by the state of Texas and regulated by the Texas Department of Licencing and Regulation.

MDA Offers:
  • Full teen driver education course.
  • Teen drive lessons only.  (Perfect if you transfer in as an online driver ed student or a parent-taught driver ed student.)
  • Teen classroom only.
  • Adult online driver education.
  • Adult in-car lessons (2 hour minimum)
  • Teen & Adult DPS Driving Test.​

​In-Car Lessons are scheduled through Schedule2Drive.  The classroom instructor provided you with information to sign up for a schedule2drive account during the class.  Contact our office if you still need help.

DPS Driving Test

Mansfield Driving Academy is authorized by the DPS as a third party testing center to administer the DPS Road Skills Test.
Teens (16-17) qualify for the road skills test when:
  1. They turn 16.
  2. They have held their permit for 180+ days.
  3. They have completed a driver education program (classroom & in-car).
  4. They have completed the 30 hour driving log with parents.
  5. They have completed the ITTD video and printed the certificate. (90 day expiration)
  6. They have obtained a VOE from their school. (30 day expiration.)
Adults (18+) qualify for the road test when:
  1. ​They have completed a 6 hour adult driver education course.
  2. They have watched the ITYD and printed the certificate.
